Steve Saunders
became the twenty-fourth pastor of
Edgefield Baptist Church on Easter Sunday, March 23, 2008. Pastor Steve is a
Nashville native and is a graduate of Hillsboro High School. He also
graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and Southern Seminary in
Louisville, KY. IN addition to serving as pastor of Edgefield, he is employed by
MTSU in the School of Social Work as the TFACTS Computer Software Training
Manager and as a contract counselor for the Pastoral Counseling Centers of
Tennessee. Pastor Steve and his wife Brenda were married in 2003, and in 2006
God blessed them with the birth of their son, Steve, Jr. In 2009, they were
blessed with the birth of twins, Katie and Sam.

Daniel
Davis joined the Edgefield staff, as Youth & Student Minister, in
November 2006. Daniel is a native of Mt. Juliet and is a graduate of Union
University in Jackson. He is also a graduate of Southern Seminary in Louisville,
KY. In addition to serving at Edgefield, he is employed with Lifeway Christian
Resources as a Production Editor for Life Values and Life Ventures
Sunday School literature. Daniel and his wife Christy have two children, Hannah
and Benjamin.

Edge Student Ministry
Misti
Frazier has been at Edgefield since she was a toddler. Misti today heads up
our Edgefield Kids ministry. She has a heart and passion for children to
know God in a personal way, and for them to have fun doing it. She spent three
summers as a Crosspoint Sports Camp staffer. She is a Nashville native and holds
a B.S. Pschology degree from MTSU. Currently she is pursuing a Master's of
Education. In addition to serving at Edgefield, she is employed with Lifeway
Christian Resources in the Marketing Department.

Mary
Leigh Hogan Ochoa joined the Edgefield staff, as Accompanist, in August 2008. Mary Leigh is a graduate of the
University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg with a degree in Music
Education. While in Hattiesburg, she taught music in the public schools,
taught private voice and piano, and served in a local church as accompanist and
children's music ministry administrator. She began teaching in Nashville
in the fall of 2000 and is presently a Music Specialist with Metro Nashville
Schools. She is married to Rudy Ochoa, Jr. and has two sons, a grandson,
and a granddaughter.
Johnathan
Woodside joined the Edgefield staff, as Worship Leader, in July 2008.
Johnathan is a Nashville native. Upon graduating from East Literature Magnet
School, he attended Tennessee State University where he obtained a B.S. in
Mechanical Engineering. In addition to his duties at EBC, Johnathan is employed
full time with Gresham Smith & Partners, a local architectural and
engineering firm. He also continues to pursue a career in music with his band
Alan's Folly.

Linda
Gawel joined the Edgefield staff as our Nursery Worker in April 2009. Linda
is employed as a full time nanny and also coordinates the nursery ministry at
the Madison Campus of the Seventh Day Adventist Church where she is a
member. Linda and her husband Frank reside in Hermitage.
